Photographer Showcases The Many Faces of Autism

Photographer Kristina Bank Jenkins has a little guy with autism that she absolutely adores. She wanted to showcase how, although much of her life revolves around autism, kids with autism are just like everyone else. She wanted to express the giggles, happiness, joys and beautiful personalities of children with autism, this is why she started her photo project “THISisAutism: Life Through The Other Lens.” Kristina’s experience with her son allows her to enter the worlds of the children she works with and catch a sparkling moment rather than just having the child pose for a photo. Her photos have been featured in People magazine, Total Film magazine and on Good Morning America and she was recently awarded the Single Mom’s Planet 2016 Women with Vision Woman of the Year Award.
