Able-bodied individuals of Austin, Texas and Navigating Their Lives in Wheelchairs as a Part of the Archer’s Challenge

From October 10th-October 15th, the city of Austin, Texas has taken on the Archer’s Challenge. The Archer’s Challenge helps support the Rosedale School, a school from the Austin Independent School District that serves students with severe special needs. Each day, different parts of the Austin community will assume the challenge by navigating a portion of their day in wheelchairs. The point of the challenge is to show able-bodied individuals the lack of accessibility for those who use wheelchairs. Participants include, the CBS Austin team, students, faculty and staff at the University of Texas at Austin, leaders from the State of Texas and City of Austin, principals, superintendents, teachers and students of Austin ISD schools, 70 partners at Austin’s H-E-B stores and 70 outfitters at Cabela’s.
