Celia and Kari join new students, Finn and Kinsley in science class, where they learn about the science of magnets. Finn, who was diagnosed with Schizophrenia, and Kinsley, who was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, find that the science of magnets (having two polar ends and positive and negative traits) is a lot like their diagnoses. Finn and Kinsley decide they want to join forces and share their love for science, so they begin working together to develop a project for the county science fair. When their project doesn’t go as planned, they are both very disappointed. Rather than letting this setback stop them, Finn and Kinsley get help from Dr. Rich and come up with a new solution. In the face of a challenge, they learn to keep moving- just like Kinetic force!
