The Blue Power Ranger in the new Power Rangers movie is Revealed to Have Autism

The highly anticipated new Power Rangers movie has a pleasant surprise. As revealed by the actor RJ Cyler, the Blue Power Ranger is on the autism spectrum. According to the 22 year old actor, having a character with autism “needed to be done.” However, portraying a character with autism is not easy. You want to be true to the condition without creating stereotypes or stigmas. RJ took this to heart. He told “Screen Rant “ that “(he) actually sat down and shut (his) mouth and actually just listened and accepted every bit of information with no judgement.” He further explained that he knew as an actor he needed to show that people with autism are “regular people.” Read more about the Blue Power Ranger here
