Josh Sundquist shares the various inspirations behind ‘Love and First Sight’

The website “Hypable” sat down with the author of Love and First Sight, Josh Sundquist, to learn more about the inspiration behind his debut book. Love and First Sight is about a teenage boy, Will, who, like most other boys, falls for a girl in his class. The twist is that Will is originally blind, but after an experimental surgery he is able to gain sight. Learning to see is harder than Will expected, especially after realizing that the girl he had a crush on was different than what he was told. In this interview Sundquist talks about the book, the challenges he faced writing it, his goals for how it will affect the reader and how he used his own experience as a disabled teenager to guide the story.
