Coloring Book that Features Kids with Disabilities
A mom from Ohio created a coloring book that features kids with disabilities. Sue Nuenke started working on the book with her son Christopher who was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy at the age of 3. The project started when Nuenke noticed that there were no stickers that featured kids in wheelchairs, so she decided to create her own. Unfortunately, Christopher passed away at the age of 25, but Nuenke made sure his legacy would live on with the coloring book “Popping Wheelies.” Nuenke gives her coloring pages to anyone who asks and even takes requests for new images.
