From High School Drop-Out to College Student and Youth Advocate

In this video, Lena McKnight shares her story about how she went from a misunderstood, learning disabled, high school drop-out to a college student and youth advocate. Lena struggled throughout her education. Although she had an IEP, she was not really getting the services and help that she needed. She came to a breaking point in the 10th grade when she was told she could not take art because her grades were too low. Lena then decided to drop out of school. However, with the support of a great mentor she found the courage to go back to school and is now not only in college but also a youth advocate sharing her story to help others. Watch her story here
