Surfing Heals Holds 12th Annual Surf Therapy Camp for Kids with Autism
On Friday August 19th, Virginia Beach was packed for the 12th Annual Surfing Heals Camp. The camp teaches kids with autism how to surf. The organization’s mission is to use surfing as a form of therapy for children with autism. Israel and Danielle Paskowitz created Surfing Heals after they realized that the ocean calmed their son with autism. With thousands of kids enrolled in this year’s camp, it is clear that their son is not the only one who enjoys the experience of being by the ocean.
