ESPN and ABC Networks to Deliver First-Ever Coverage of Special Olympics World Winter Games 2017 in Austria
For the first time, the Special Olympics World Winter Games will be broadcasted on national television. Both ABC and ESPN will be airing what is expected to be the largest Special Olympics in history. The 2017 Special Olympics Winter World Games will be held in Austria and 2,600 athletes from 106 nations plan to compete. The opening ceremony will be aired on ABC on March 18th followed by the games the next day. ESPN’s nightly coverage will include not just the games, but also interviews with special guests and athletes, a daily competition showcase featuring highlights, athlete profiles and feature stories.
